[Records of the Michigan Geological Survey], 1909-1920.

Series 1 and 2 of record group 71-12 consist of records of the Michigan Geological Survey. The first group of records include minutes of the Board of Geological Survey (1909-1920). These minutes are from regular and special meetings and relate to financial matters, personnel, special projects, work plans, and policy, together with quarterly and biennial reports. The second group of records are minutes of the Board of Scientific Advisers to Michigan Geological Survey (1910-1917). These minutes include recommendations, report of work progress by the State Geologist, special projects, resolutions, legislative affairs, member appointments, collection of statistics and mineral samples, scientific research and publication, finances, and business relating to the topographical, biological, and geological surveys.
